IT'S COLD AGAIN

Thankfully the snow didn't amount to anything, but the gritters are out again tonight. Perhaps not quite as cold as the other day, but certainly cold enough. Don't think I'll be getting my shorts out just yet.

Yes, I read that we were going to have a heatwave today--up to 19 degrees!!

More like half that.

We have had so much rain again over the last week-I still have not got round to cutting my back lawn-my neighbour did my front lawn about Monday-the bin was full to bursting-by the time I had waited for it to settle down again, the rain came back !! Plus it is still quite a cold wind out there !

Well, surprise surprise !!!. After a dull start the sun has come out and it's a lovely warm day, but like you Marian, we've had a lot of rain, particularly these last few days.
Marian, there was a programme on TV this afternoon involving Women from a W.I. group who were involved in a cooking contest programme.
Some of them a little tetchy, and reminded me of Penelope Keith who played next door neighbour Margo in the TV series The Good Life. They were wearing beautiful floral frocks, knitted cardigans and rows of pearl necklaces and earrings, not a hair out of place,... and wearing starched knickers I would imagine. but I'm sure I remember a while ago a team of women from W.I. who stripped naked for a calendar.

Apparently, today was the warmest day since last September!

After staying in Bruges for 4 chilly days (2 degrees C) & then cruising down the Rhine in 3 to 5 degrees C for 13 days at the end of March,
I feel for you during your long cold Winter & early Spring that you have lived though

It has been lovely here today, really warm in the sunshine, it even dried the washing.

It was warmer here today as well but last night the wind turned gale force just as I went to bed, it sounded scary. Calmer today though.

Dark, cold, overcast and light rain today and tomorrow..yeeecchhhh where is Spring?

The wind is back with a vengeance todya, sounds very wild out there but it's sunny.

We are asking the same question, Eman--the sun breaks through for a few hours, and everone thinks--at last--winter is over--but we still have that fresh wind here.
