We love watching these too Robert. So many memories of great singers and musicians.
In our opinion we do believe that there are a small few good singers out there today, we have heard one or two of them sing the real classic numbers exceptionally well, but too many of the songwriters today haven't got the same talent or imagination to do these singers justice.

We have been listening to Lee Lawrence this morning. :) :)

Saw OZ The Great and Powerful last weekend. Very very good film!! Though some scenes may be frightening for little kids. Also went to a sneak preview of the new Gerard Butler film "Olympus Has Fallen". Another good guy type of film with a lot of action. On DVD I've been watching Doctor Who - The Aztecs (Special Edition). Wow I'm really getting into the First Doctor - William Hartnell.

Watched the DVD Ring a Ding Rhythm tonight :) ...............made in 1962, starring Helen Shapiro and Craig Douglas (who stars in the film and sings the very wonderful song Rainbows, which would have been a hit single if it had been released) :D ................the film has a host of well known British stars including the late Frank Thornton and Arthur Mullard ..............many music stars put in a performance too............Acker Bilk, Kenny Ball, Chris Barber, the late Terry Lightfoot, Chubby Checker, Del Shannon, Gene Vincent etc etc..............plus The Brook Brothers and The Paris Sisters both of whom I'd never heard of before  ...............three DJs also appear in the film, Alan "Fluff" Freeman, Pete Murray and David Jacobs :D .......................plus, there is really "cute" girl in the film, she is seen standing next to Craig Douglas during Rainbows......I wish I knew her name ......have you got a clue John ? .....assuming you have seen the film :)

Last night I watched the 1970/71 film called "The House That Dripped Blood" corny horror stories but fun. Best installment was Christopher Lee's. I found Jon Pertwee to be hillarious as a vain movie star turned vampire!! LOL
