We like this collection too John, and nice to see Matt's "How Little We Know " included on this one.

I do like these Radio2 d.o.c.u.m.e.n.t.a.r.i.e.s Jeff :) well some of them anyway. Have listened to Bobby Darin and Gene Krupa recently :) and yes let us hope there will be one on Matt in 2010, it's about time Matt was featured in one of these series :)

Have to agree Robert, there's little to compare with big bands and singers like Frances Langford.

Just been listening to some of Al Martino's early recordings, including "The Story Of Tina" and "Now". :D

Everyone Knew it was Al Martino singing when "The Story Of Tina" was played on the radio John, just as much as they knew it was Al singing "Here In My Heart" although Lee Lawrence also made a good recording of both these songs.
He was another very good British singer.

Yes Lena and Harry, I can report this is correct. I stood a few feet away from him on Wednesday night. His hair may be grey/white, but he looks great and sounds absolutely amazing. I'll send my review later.

Will look forward to reading your review Paul, although Tom Jones has never been among my favourite singers. :)

Those are my least favourite songs of Tom's. "I'm Never Going To Fall In Love Again" is a good song of his, plus "Green Green Grass Of Home", other than those I am not particularly a huge fan.

I like his recording of "Till" and the "Green Green Grass Of Home " and perhaps One or Two others, and I suppose certainly prefer to listen to him than to watch him.
I find him so embarrassing. :(

I think he is just trying to be "hip" all the time, he seem's to sing with every "new" artist on the block........................Tom probably still think's he's 25 year's old

Well if he's trying to convince his self of that Robert or any one else, he should change his make-up for a start cos it's not working.
