sad story

Post by john » Wed Mar 04, 2009 11:50 am

I have a very sad tale to tell. A couple of weeks ago, we had a big fire in Blackpool town centre destroying Yates Wine Lodge, and a few other buildings including a pet shop. Very sadly, the pets all perished in the fire ( we cried just thinking about it, it was just so awful). It turned out the fire was actually started in the pet shop, and deliberately as well. What makes a person do something like this?
Days after the fire had been put out, fireman were checking through the building and they found a tiny canary, still alive, huddled up in a corner. That must be a miracle.

John-that is terrible-I remember hearing about the fire, and thought about you and Lee---but it said there were no casualties--no mention of those poor animals. Just amazing how that tiny canary survived.

How the person who started the fire can live with himself and his conscience , I will never know...

Well Marian, when we first heard about the fire, when they said "Yates Wine Lodge" it never occurred to me about the pet shop being practically next door. And then our friend was telling us that night and she said about all the pets that had gone, we just never realised. And then when we found it was started in the pet shop we couldn't believe it.

That's really sad John, and terrible that someone could have done this deliberately. I'm so glad at least one little canary survived.

We naturally thought exactly the same as Marian when we read about the fire in Blackpool, but just pleased that there were no casualties. What goes on in these sick people's minds we'll never know.
We know what we would like to see happen to them though. :x :x

This really is a terrible story, John, but with an ending to ease the horror of it all.

HIGHS & LOWS

A tale of tenderness from Marian,
a sad story of wickedness from John;
to say of this forum it is fair,
life's many guises are reflected here.
