Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

Yes John I called her on Monday morning and played the line from Stevie Wonder's "Happy Birthday" down the phone.

My brother-in-law had something up his sleeve for her actual birthday and I've still to hear what it was.

One great present she received was tickets to see Andre Rieu in November.

My neighbour flew off to Malaysia yesterday for two weeks to see his folks.

Hi Karl

I am fine, thank you. Yes, I have gone on my vacation and it is now only a memory.
Hong Kong was hot but Taipei was even more so. Moreover, there was an earthquake of 6.3 when I was shopping in a CD shop there and everything swayed. But since the Taiwanese laughed it off, I continued my shopping only to learn later that 4 people were killed.

It's not a very good time to visit Malaysia as the haze from neighbouring Indonesia is very bad this year. The PSI in Singapore and some Southern Malaysian towns hit 371 yesterday and that is a hazardous level.
