Special days in June

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

Many thanks to John, Lena and Harry, Karl, Terence and Eman for your good wishes for today. We are going out for a nice meal this evening. :D :D It just seems like yesterday!

By the way my sister beats you by a year they will be 49 years in September, they were married on my mum's birthday which was also her wedding anniversary.

L&H I just heard days ago that you get a telegram for an anniverary I thought it was purely for an 100th birthday!

CardS are sent from the Queen for a 60th, 65th, and 70th Wedding Anniversary, (they have to be applied for ) and then every year after.
Birthday cards are for a 100th ,105th and every year after. :) :)

I remember seeing a very old lady on Tv, who lived till well over 100, and she had at least half a dozen cards from The Queen--everyone exactly the same !!

We applied for an 65th Wedding card from the Queen on Peter's aunt and uncle anniversary.
They were over the moon. :D
They are all the same, I suppose they are kept up to date by a change of portrait every few years though.
Marian, your old lady will have to keep going until they change the picture!

I remember that old lady, she said something about "You'd Think She'd Change The Picture". The Queen probably got a batch done at a good price!!!! :)
