SUSAN BOYLE IN CONCERT

Post by karl » Wed Jul 10, 2013 5:15 pm

I saw Susan in concert last night and was delighted to see her special guest was Lance Ellington, we know Lance from Strictly Come Dancing and the recent James Bond concert

Lance came on first and did two songs then gave Susan a huge build-up, I have to say I was amazed at how good she was and she has an incredible range.

Susan worked her way through a wide variety of songs including Abba's The Winner Takes It All, You Raise Me Up with a 30 piece choir and duets with Lance including River Deep, Mountain High. When her band struck up the intro I almost feel off my seat with shock as I never dreamed Susan would tackle that. Lance is a great mover and he got the audience clapping along.

When Susan first came on stage the audience went wild and the applause grew with each song until the finale with a standing ovation which she really deserved.

The whole show did Susan proud with a fine production and wonderful sound. Susan also displayed a nice line in humour.

I hope the show has been recorded for dvd, I would certainly go and see her again. I know I grumbled at the ticket price but it was worth every penny.

Well done Susan you were great! Oh and there was also four costume changes!

Sandra I felt exactly the same but there is much more to her than meets the eye, she's a force to be reckoned with and Isaid that after she appeared on Piers Morgans Life Stories.

Every time I enjoy a show and it's on for more than one night I always want to see it again and I never do - with that in mind I have just been to the Festival theatre to book for the first of Susan's two nights tomorrow - she is almost totally sold out for both nights so I am looking forward to seeing her again!

Sounds awesome Karl. My friend Richard is a mega fan and would love to see her live. I'm glad she's not a flash in the pan like the Pop Idol winner I think her name was "Michelle" I forgot what her last name was. I haven't heard anything from her since her debut album but that was ions ago!!

Do you mean Michelle McManus?

If so she is still going strong, I saw her in January at a ball as she was one of the cabaret acts. Actually I stood next to her at the bar, she's a good singer but I don't care for her as a person.

She is also on tv as a presenter sometimes and I recently read she had performed for the Pope.

Another great performance and I noticed guys in the boxes filming it.

The festival theatre is larger and it was almost a capacity crowd.

I took note of the special high note she hit as I couldn't remember it from Tuesday, it was on Unchained Melody. Susan's range just amazed me.

It was also good to see people from abroad in the audience as there was a few Oriental faces and in my row some ladies from Holland who had walked by the theatre that very day and seen the huge poster of Susan .
