Jack Jones
Re: Jack Jones
I have this LP Terence, it is another version of "I've Been Here All The Time", with the same songs and a different title. "Don't Stop Now." The ebay seller has it on CD with the original title.

Re: Jack Jones
Thanks for the info Marian.

Re: Jack Jones
I also have both versions of that album, I'm sure I picked up the American release brand new for 99 cents.
Re: Jack Jones
SPEAKING OF JACK JONES, HE WILL BE APPEARING IN SAN FRANCISCO FOR 3 NIGHTS AT "FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO"
The dates are from Sept.19-21, so I purchased a premium table for two on Opening Night, Thur.Sept 19th
I have admired his vocal talents, but this will be the first time to see him in person!!

Henry you are in for a real treat, Marian and I went to see him quite recently as you know but in different towns
I have been a JJ fan since the first time I heard him, I was 16 then.
By the way what's a premium tablet?

Re: Jack Jones
I hope a premium ticket is one that gives Henry a seat nearest the stage and backstage access to Jack as well.

Re: Jack Jones
I am fine. Thank you Karl.
Re: Jack Jones
A premium ticket gets me a table up close to where JJ will be singing (But no back stage pass)
I have been told that usually the performers stay around after their set for photos & autographs

September 19th is going to be quite a memorable day Henry, you go to see Jack Jones, I leave for a short break to Nice and when I was in Glasgow a few days ago I saw an ad for Thomas Hampson singing Mahler on the same date. We discussed him some time ago on the site, he's a wonderful American singer and I hve several of his cd's. I would have gone to see him if I was available and he wasn't singing Mahler - that's a bit heavy I think.
Re: Jack Jones
Thomas Hampson is quite a good baritone singer as I never heard of him before, but I watched him on "You Tube" a few minutes ago.
He sang "Shenandoah" on the TV, but I also heard him sing a Mahler selection...Not my kind of music!

Hey Henry, let us know how the JJ show is and if you have a pic taken with him.

Re: Jack Jones
Henry I would say Thomas Hampson is more than quite good!
Re: Jack Jones
We went to see Jack Jones last Thursday night at Michael Feinstein's at the Nikko, S.F.
We had a fabulous time at this venue and our table was in the right side midway in the
room, but Jack strolled thru the audience while he sang and he shook our hands as he
came by our seats. He sang for 95 minutes closing with "The Impossible Dream".
After the show we talked to him about Matt and Michele's Forum which she has kept
his music alive. He said to me he & Matt were good friends and he greatly admired his
singing talent which was the best. He autographed one of his CDs..."Live at the London
Palladium" from which he sang 4 of the songs contained in this CD. All in all, we enjoyed
our night out enormously
