EDMUND HOCKRIDGE

Post by Lena & Harry Smith » Wed Mar 18, 2009 10:14 pm

We are sad to hear that Canadian born singer Edmund Hockridge has passed away at the age of 89.
We heard this news from Eric Hall's guest who was on the programme on Sunday who had received a phone call just that morning to tell him.
Edmund played leading roles in musicals such as Carousel, Guys and Dolls and The Pyjama Game.
His song "Hey There" was his biggest hit recording.

I haven't read that news anywhere, but people are not interested in the "old" singers these days, so don't report their demise :( I have a EH CD.......... unplayed though
