Like David Jacobs, Malcolm Laycock, and Brian Matthew, Alan has such a nice voice for radio. I like when he speaks in a foreign language and wish I could sound like that.

Yes, David Jacobs does play a few more Matt Monro songs. But I feel he only has 4 MM CDs in his collection -- based on what he plays. Just a feeling I have. I would love to hear something from The Rare Monro, or something like This Time, Can This Be Love, One Day, or If There Ever Is A Next Time or anything from the four Capital albums. I would love to hear The Shadow of Your Smile with that brilliant verse. Those songs would fit perfectly in Davd Jacobs' programme. Well, I'm preaching to the choir. :) We need to get busy emailing the Radio 2 presenters! I really want Sarah Kennedy to play Ethel Baby for her showtune one morning. But she (and her SS) gets huge credit for playing We're Gonna Change The World every few months! :)

:?: Lena and Harry -- Is Eric Hall still playing good music and Matt Monro on Sunday afternoons?

As I have said before DJ does stick the the same old 6 Matt songs or so  he probably hasn't heard any of the newer Matt material. You forgot to mention Desmond Carringtons nice radio voice Jeff :)

Yes Paul, Eric Hall plays Matt's music quite regularly. Just Two weeks ago he played "Portrait Of My Love," as a tribute to Wendy Richard who passed away recently. Matt was her favourite singer.
Desmond Carrington does have a nice voice for radio Robert.
It somehow went with our roast joint on a Sunday until he got the chop, as the pun goes. :)
