Idea for a new Matt album

Want to ask Richard Moore something - go for it! He is a veritable walking encyclopedia and is never happier than talking music.

Another interesting explanation Richard, it's scary what things cost isn't it?

Thanks for the explanation Richard.

It's just nice to speculate and dream up new ideas from time to time.

Certainly is Karl.

Always open to ideas Alex, whilst this one doesn't work at the moment you never know what might!

It seems that the most economical way is to release those 1966 New York recordings that are
in the Capital/Universal vaults of which Richard has no way of obtaining the original masters that
had the 3-piece accompaniment. I am sure most Forum members and many other fans of
Matt's vocals would write Capital/Universal and request release of these tracks to Richard.
If there is a financial cost involved in doing this, maybe most of Matt's fans could donate
$50.00 each to build up a fund to make it happen....
Please give us Capital's address or phone and we will inform them of our buying potential
if they would release the New York Sessions.

Hold tight for the moment Henry.

As it stands it's currently not easy to do anything with the Capitol material. The first thing to do is to see if Capitol/Universal are interested in the project themselves. Capitol UK is a very new company (Capitol have never had a UK office before) and I do have the name of of the boss, but I also have to be careful not to alienate them too. I also don't want them to look at the current CD market and say 'They've only just released two albums why would we want to put something else out there so soon'

So we have to tread carefully for the moment. If Capitol aren't interest then we'll look at what else could be done then. I don't think fans writing to Capitol would solve any purpose at the moment.

Henry that was a great thought but as Richard said with the two new releases so close together it's best to wait awhile - also Richard knows the situation better than any of us so we trust his judgement.

Let's hope when they see how well Matt's records have sold they will agree. (I hope they have sold well?)

With todays technology a Duets album, would be a great idea!
Would love to hear various artists duet with Matt.
