I always enjoy Cliff's albums but this one didn't really go anything for me unless it grows on me.
Cliff's voice is fine but althogh it was recorded live in the Nashville studio I felt The Shadows could have done a far better job and Cliff has recorded many rock & rolll songs over the years that sound far better -his recording of Lucille is outstanding.

I will give it another few plays, perhaps I just expected too much from Cliff?

He was on the Paul O Grady show the other night singing "Dream Lover". He sounded better than he did last year at the Queens Diamond Jubilee concert, I thought he sounded awful then.

Is it I Grandi Successi? I just saw the 2 cd set on Amazon and it also includes Non Ho L'eta Per Amarti in English - I am very tempted!
I have been playing the CD "22 Grandes Exitos" ............Gigliola sings Non Ho L'eta in Spanish on this CD, but I prefer to hear the Italian version  :)

Playing Cliff's new album again and enjoying it more, for 73 he can still make a good record but I don't think he's bettered the originals - however in the past his version of Lucille was outstanding.

Don't know what was wrong with me a few days ago when I didn't enjoy it so much, maybe I was having an off-day musically?

John I looked at Russell's new cd today and will probably buy it soon, his albums are usually excellent.
