BARBRA STREISAND LIVE TOUR UK

Post by mariana44 » Wed Mar 27, 2013 1:41 pm

I did not know that Barbra Streisand is doing live concerts this year-at the "O2" in June--my sister told me, but I have seen no news of it anywhere.

She is apparently also including her half sister, and her son Jason. I have heard Jason sing with her on a couple of "Youtube" clips, and I thought he had a great voice, and they were really lovely videos.

Jill, my sister saw a couple of adverts on tv, but I agree it has been very low key-she started with just one concert, then another was added due to demand, and I believe another one hads since been added.

Just read a review from the O2 concert on Saturday--Barbra was great, but most people were not very complimetary about the rest of her family being there too onstage.

At nearly £500.00 for best seats , I am not surprised !!

Mariana, that's what I heard also. Barbra was in full form, but people who saw the show were wondering why was her family on stage with her. They said that they should have been sitting in the front row and just leave the show to her

It was her son , and her half-sister--and they were singing on stage.

I heard Zoe Ball this morning , who saw her, and was sitting about 6 rows from the front-but she never said how much she paid, I read thast somewhere else.

Thanks Mariana. i love her voice but i think some tickets were ridiculous prices. I read that one of my fave comedy actors Walter Matthau said he couldn't work with her again because she was a "Megalomaniac"
Not that would influence me but sometimes it food for thought.

I have heard various reports that she is difficult to deal with---I ignore them all--to me, she is just a true artiste.

I woiuld have loved to see her live, but just out of my price range---but thankfully we can watch her on dvd.

I met Walter Matthau years ago outside the Albert Hall in London and he signed his autograph, he was a perfect gentleman and he spoke for a few minutes and was so friendly and funny.

I love her films Mariana and her voice. It's just a shame that tickets have to be so extortionate even before the touts have taken hold ....she is amazing no question ...i remember someone saying years ago that she made Sheena Eastern sound like a squeaky door lol
