Terence, you will find the blood transfusion works really quickly, and will make such a difference to you--and it will help you get strong enough to fight your illness. At one time my blood count was down at 8, but with the transfusion, i started feeling better almost immediately. #thinking of you xxx

I read about the storm yesterday which was like the British equivalent of our Asian typhoons. Hope all of you are safe.

Thank you for thinking of us Terence, in spite of your own health issues.
As far as we understand Five people have lost their lives, and if we hadn't have had adequate warning of what to expect, the number could have been much worse.
We have been more fortunate than others and have had just One or Two trees down near us, but others not so lucky.
Thank you again Terence and take good care of yourself.

Glad to hear everyone is ok and not that many calamaties have happened. Yep I can relate with Terrence on the asian typhoons indeed. No power, water, but always have to be prepared especially in the rainy seasons.

Hope you are doing well Terrence!!!

The last news I heard about Terence is that he took himself off to hospital, to get a blood transfusion--plus maybe some other treatment--He said that he was very weak, but hopefully the transfusion helped him.

Hello everyone

Just discharged from the hospital today after 5 nights' stay. This is my 2nd hospital stay in 10 days. Finally it is discovered that a bleeding ulcer is the cause. The battle has just begun. Monday I have to consult an oncologist ( the one that specializes in blood cancers for further treatment like biopsies and chemo. Can't say I am looking forward to all these, having suffered these few nights in hospital and wondering if all the pain is worth it if I don't make it.

thanks for your update Terence---I know you have a difficult time ahead--but it will be worth it--I have a friend who has been having treatment for something similar--and she was quite unwell last year---but this year she is fine-back to normal almost.

So try and concentrate on the future, when you will be feeling well again.

Thanks for the update Terence. As other members have said we hope you can stay positive during the coming weeks.

My brother in law was diagnosed with blood cancer and like you he had to have biopsies and chemo. That was five years ago and although he keeps very well he has regular check ups with the Consultant every three months, the last one was two weeks ago and he doesn't see him again until February as everything was fine.

We will be thinking of you.
