Good to hear from you Mark. I wish I was in the South Pacific. Have a wonderful voyage and excellent concerts on the ship. I was listening to On Days Like These yesterday too; I never get tired of that record. :)

Great hearing from you Mark and to know that you are thinking of us all, even from the South Pacific!
Hope you have a successful voyage, and like Lena and Harry we are also looking forwards to another Kings of Swing evening sometime later this year.

Terry Wogan has just played 'On Days Like These ' on his morning programme.
He can always be relied on to play a Matt song occasionally, thanks Terry.

We rely on these few Radio 2 presenters to play our choice of music Sandra, and who knows for how long with the powers to be not wanting to take notice of the listeners.

Very true, you could always rely on Ed Stewart on a Sunday to play Matt.
Have been disappointed in Michael Ball who replaced Parkinson. Not that he ever played Matt either.David Jacobs always a good bet though but must be a small audience that time of night.

We agree Sandra, we have also been disappointed with Michael Ball's Sunday programme, not quite what we were hoping for.

Michael Ball did say when he was interviewing Tom Jones on his show, that Matt was one of his very favourite singers, so I wonder why he doesn't include his recordings. :? :?

I am not sure about David Jacobs having a a small audience--I always make sure that I am there at 11.00 every Sunday night to listen to him--there are not too many programmes about like that, so I would think there are a good number of people like me around.

Incidentally, George could not stand David Jacobs---he disliked the music that David played, and most of all he hated the way David always starts by saying "Hello there" ???

If anyone misses the show at 11pm, then there is always the listen again feature, which I'm sure thousands of people use  :) didn't George like our kind of music Marian ??

I agree that his audience is huge. I've heard that Dame Judi Dench listens each week.

Mariana - I sometimes listen just to hear him open with "hello there"!
