SPECIAL DAYS IN DECEMBER.

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

Thank you very much Sandra & John, Marian, Karl, Marian and John, for your kind Birthday wishes for Alan. A special lunch was in his honour today and a Birthday cake followed, that apparently just had time to see the light of day before it was demolished :) and this evening was spent at their regular Friday night club with disco and eats.
Karl, strangely enough I've felt quite chuffed today, talking about age. We were in Asda shopping and a person from a family who moved away from our area 38 years ago had recognised me, :o 8) came up to me with a big smile on her face. Made me want to do somersaults in the aisles
Marian I have never been guilty of knitting a jumper. Scarves maybe yes, you know those ones miles long that our mothers used to knit that were sewed up at the back to make them into a pixie hood

L&H that's good you were recognised after all these years.

One of my colleagues in the civil service had a great sense of humour and when one of our "girls" turned 50 he said "You Don't Look 50 - You USED to!!!!!!

Ha Ha,
Talking of age Karl, when my cousin asked her daughter if she would care to drive her to my nephews house for a new year celebration evening with us all which included some of us who are getting on a bit. She replied to my cousin and I that it was likely there would be a party going on that same evening elsewhere and would prefer to be with younger people than with Seventy and Eighty year olds.
I told her that I understood and asked her if she would accept our apologies for surviving the war.
The look on her face was priceless, but we ended up having a good laugh.

Natural is good L&H - plastic surgery is not!

Great story about surviving the war, I bet that put her gas at a peep? :)

I think it did Karl, but it's still in the balance whether she can manage the driving that day, and we've promised not to sing those Forties and Fifties songs.
