Joan Fontaine R.I.P.

I have just read the actress Joan Fontaine has died aged 96. She was the sister of Olivia de Havilland, who is a year older at 97 and still going strong. I think it is a well know fact the the 2 sisters couldn't stand each other and hadn't spoken for many years. It is a shame when that happens, because I liked both sisters and thought they were excellent actresses.

R.I.P Joan

She signed my dvd cover I sent her of Rebecca a few years ago and she apparently was still signing autographs and replying to fan mail.

Sad to hear that another great actress from those wonderful movie days has passed away. R.I.P. Joan Fontaine.

I worked with a singer called Michael De Havilland over 22 years ago in the States. Maybe John or Lena/Harry might shed some light on his connection with the family. My short term memory is getting worse.....good singer. Maybe linked with the aircraft manufacturer.
