Alfie Boe's Storyteller concert, what a voice and what energy. This was the same concert I saw so it's great to have it on dvd.

I almost choked with laughter at a remark he made to the audience, they just laughed but did what they were told to "Get Up Off Their Arses" !!!!

So here's my review on the sneak peak showing of "The Monuments Men" that I saw. I loved it!!! Best movie I've seen in a while. The charachters are real underdogs that you can't help but cheer for them. In some ways I could relate to a few. Go see it when it opens. I'm opt to seeing it again!!!

Eman, regarding The Monuments Men, that is some review you have given!
Really looking forward to it now.
Can I ask, is the film a serious depiction of the events, or comical like Kelly's Heroes?

Gray,
It's a little of both especially when they are doing the training, however it does tend to lean on a more serious nature. It's a great film in my opinion and one of the best I've seen in ages. I'll go to the cinema again when it opens to the public.

Sounds great Eman ...will think about going to this....i needed a pick up film and hubby took me to see Disney's Frozen ...it was amazing ...made me laugh and cry but mainly laugh ...one of the characters singing in it and a main character was a lady who had play Elpheba. In the musical Wicked ....poor hubby wasn't sure about going. ( who can blame him but it was a Sunday morning and no chance of bumping into anybody he knows  ...)but he loved it too! ...it is very much a musical ... :D

Glad you like it too Eman ...wasn't the ending a refreshing change to the usual happy ending? ....

Watched Cliff Richard's latest concert on blu ray from the Sydney Opera House, absolutely great with crystal clear sounds & vision.

I'm glad to finally see the auditorium at the Opera House, I have been inside the building but not the auditorium. It looks huge inside.

I am editding some Royal Variety Shows from 1991 & 1993, Cilla Black was the host that year and she introduced an up and coming star - Bradley Walsh who was very funny and has done very well for himself since then.

Also on the tapes were Jose Carreras on a Bruce Forsyth show and Jose was very funny during the talk part, Cliff Richard was also on the tape with Gloria Hunniford standing in for Terry Wogan. I am really enjoying watching them again as I'd forgotten a lot of what I had recorded.
