I have mixed feelings about Jade Goody but She had a certain charisma when she was interviewed, Sir Michael's commments were in very poor taste, shame on him

Yes, Michael Parkinson did make some cutting remarks, but charisma is about the last word I could associate with Jade in any situation.

The articles I have read, indicate that Michael Parkinson was not criticising Jade herself, but the media circus around her--which I tend to agree with. Even now she has gone, I get the impression that people are still trying to make money out of her.

I felt desperately sorry for Jade, and the ordeal she went through--as I would with any other young woman with young children.

But enough is enough. There are tragedies like this happening every day-we just do not get to hear about them.

Michael wrote in poor taste.
A pity really-he didn't need to mention Jade at all in the Radio Times article.
He may or may not be a good journalist but little else real talent-one very lucky man!

Whatever anyone thinks about Jade Goody, it is a sad fact that she died so young and in such circ umstances, with two young boys needing support for their future.
I feel Michael Parkison was heartless in his comments and should not have made them so close to Jade's untimely death.
She did not choose to be born to a poor family and an alcoholic mother, and it is no fault of hers that she was poorly educated.
Jade chose to pull herself up from her poor background when she became popular with the public after Big Brother, and until her next controversial appearance on the same show a few years later, she did very well.
She has done quite a lot of good from publicising cervical cancer and its risks to the general public. She did what she could with the knowledge she had, and I feel the constant criticism is uncalled for.
As she was being criticised for continually being in the public eye, can we not now let the matter rest, and the poor girl rest in peace.

This is 100% my last post about Jade Goody, and not criticising her---just the hysteria that has built up around her---

I read a letter on Teletext that suggested that Jade was as good a role model as Princess Diana, and that Jade should have had a State Funeral too. !!!!!!
