Hello everyone, I have just joined the forum after a little persuasion from Michele and wanted to share something.

My daughter Michele was named after Michele Monro after I saw a photo of her, being a bridesmaid, in a newspaper. My daughter was born in August 1964.

I would like to know more bout Michele Monro: which newspaper, whose wedding, and how old is Michele now? I believe she was five in 1964.
Most of my friends were fans of Elvis and Tommy Steele. My big idol was Matt Monro. Wonderful voice.

Michele has just celebrated her big five-o birthday :) I hope I haven't let the cat out of the bag :wink: :lol:

We know you would never do that Robert :wink: but I'm sure that Michele will be happy to know that she celebrated her 50th Birthday.
It's after that we would like to forget Birthdays perhaps, but as we've said before they are better than the alternative. :) :)

This is a good year for celebrating being 50 :)
The Nikon lens "F-mount" is 50 this year too; I wonder if I wrote to them nicely if they'd sell me a new D50 00 at a discount?

edit - and my elder daughter can partly attribute being called Natalie to Nat King Cole's daughter
