ANY BEE GEES FANS?

Post by karl » Thu Mar 06, 2014 8:51 am

Just noticed a great 5 ocd release foro under £20 T he Warner Brothers Yeaers 1987-1991. The set included two live discs in Australia.

Having seen this band live and been totally knocked out by them this is a must for my collection.

I always hoped I would see The Bee Gees again but it never happened.

Love the Bee Gees, Such talent !! There are so many great songs around that they have written, that I think most people do not realise.
eg I just found out that Maurice and Robin wrote the "Steps" song "5678". Well maybe not the best song in the world--but I have seen my Hobbies group rehearsing it for their talent show next month, and it was FABULOUS !!!

oh I loved the Bee Gees from the 60's - the present. Even little brother Andy Gibb. My favourite albums were Main Course and Children of the World, pre-SNF but funky and danceable just the same. Takes me back to being 11-12 years old in 1975-1976. Though Main Course is my ulitimate favourite Bee Gees album. I'll probably get this set Karl as I always wanted the album "One" on cd.

Yes that's the one, I could not remember the title. I know I have that track on a cd box set by the group but I still have that album on vinyl

It was one of their worst sellers ever Karl. Even the Bee Gees didn't like it. I guess radio stations weren't playing them since they were pigeon holed as a Disco Band and Disco had a bad backlash. The previous lp Spirits Having Flown was a monster from 1979 and it took them two years to release Living Eyes. I did like their lp that they did with Kenny Rogers called "Eyes That See In The Dark". The Bee Gees were in top form providing production and vocals to Kenny's first lp with RCA along with the big hit "Islands In The Stream".
