Don Black was back on tonight (but not sure if it was a repeat or not)...........he played one of Matts great ballad interpretations ..........I Get Along Without You Very Well a version Bing Crosby say's is one of the greatest recordings he has ever heard :D

Another repeat programme tonight, I remember the Barbra Streisand/Sunset Boulevard story at the end of the show :wink: ..............as L&H have mentioned elsewhere Don played Matt singing the glorious On Days Like These :D ............but he played it not too long ago.

Don played Matt singing If I Never Sing Another Song :) ..............but it is Don's final show until June.

Yes, Don will busy with his show in March and April. His Songbook tour with Martine McCutcheon and Gary Wilmot.

that is a lovely song Robert ive just checked it out...this forum is fab....but so distracting :lol: ive finished reading my 9th assignment but i was distracted by TMMF :lol:

What's TMMF Maxine?

Does anyone listen to Desmond Carrington on Fiday nights? I listened to part of it last week.

Yes, we have always listened to Desmond Carrington, He has been playing a lot of the Fifties music recently. :)

Moira Stuart took over the Don Black slot tonight, but it just wasn't the same :wink:

L&H according to Radio Times Moira was playing Bert Kaempfert, Henry Mancini , Nancy Wilson and showcasing a classic album by Scott Walker 'Til The Band Comes In.

I can't imagine her presenting a music show as she doesn't have much personality.

Yes, I've just seen the music she played on this first programme Karl, but I think perhaps there's more to Moira Stuart than what we remember of her news deliverance.
I'll give it a listen anyhow.
