I used to watch Egheads regularly but haven't seen it much recently. My twin brother was on it with a team of his friends about two years ago and they nearly beat the Eggheads!

C.J. is regarded as a bit arrogant but, yes, you're right: the Eggheads are trailed as being super-knowledgeable and then can't answer something that shouldn't be that difficult. I remember the episode where they were asked "Which quiz master is the subject of an urban myth that he played the saxophone on Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street?" I knew the answer was Bob Holness but none of the Eggheads had a clue, even the formidable Kevin, which meant a team of fairly unimpressive students won when they shouldn't have.
