That's good to hear, Robert. Heavy metal is the one genre I can't tolerate. I can't think of one song I like that is true heavy metal.
I haven't listened to The Ultimate in awhile. I'll take a break from my continuous Doris Day weekend marathon to play it.

my son likes death metal or thrash metal ...awful but he likes all sorts of music from Woody Guthrie to blach sabbath lol....what a treat to hear your brother has been converted

Elaine Paige has her own programme on sky arts 2 or 1 cant remember but the fella in with her mentioned Matt ... ....its on Wednesday nights 8pm all about the musicals

Incidentally, as you have mentioned Elaine Paige--she has a new cd out, called "the Ultimate, I think ", and Seb, who is one of our forum members---you may remember , he is also a big fan of Vera Lynn and Gracie Fields---I just saw on Facebook today, where he and his girlfriend are credited on the back cover of this new cd for " research ". So well done to Seb.

Last Wednesday I think it was Don Black was on Steve Wright's programme and they spoke about Matt and at the end of the interview Steve played Matt's " On Days Like These".
