Hi Gray, I agree that the Dracula films weren't really scary, they were entertaining, weren't they?

Just thought of another couple of old scaries, Amityville Horror, and even older and scarier, House of Wax.

John

I remember the first Hammer Dracula built up to a super climax, with Peter Cushing pulling down curtains in the gothic mansion to let the light in.

I'll mention another film that scared the heck out of me, Schindlers List.
This film had a big impact on me.

South Pacific is a cracking film, Robert, I am a big fan also.
Mitzi Gaynor is just gorgeous, as is the photography, the score.
A 70mm restored print played recently at Bradford.

Yes, a truly great film.

Rodgers and Hammerstein were true geniuses.

One of the best musicals ever
Mitzi Gaynor was passenger in Harry's cab a couple of years ago.
He recognised her right away. :)

Harry took her to her hotel, and although not a lengthy conversation,... some are ready to and some are not, it depends, but she was immediately recognisable and still very attractive. :)
