Thank you for that Marian...I'm wondering if she had something that humans get when we move to quickly and get a head rush or something ...because she jumped off the chair and that's when it started ...thankyou again ...I'm hoping and praying that is all it all is ...

Thank you John i was frantic to be honest ....but so far so good :D ....if its a case of meds for life i can handle that ...we all can ...as long as she ok 8) She is nine now and getting on a bit but she is adorable and so placid ....she has never been vicious ...just barks when seeing a passing dog or person ....she's my little lady companion and as most of us with our animals i would feel lost ...as indeed we all would ...without her ...Bichons were in circuses years ago as they balance well bless them ....we had a cavalier before her Benji he was so comical ...a cavalier King Charles Spaniel ...he reached 11 yrs which is great for that breed ...my neighbour recommended bichons and we was not planning to get another dog immediately but our youngest was very down so we took a chance and found a breeder kennel club registered and found Pebbles  ....she was so full of energy i thought " oh no what have we done i forgot what puppies are like " but my goodness she keeps us laughing and took the edge off off our grief for Benji ...we called her pebbles because Benji used to pick up little pebble stones by the post box up the road 8) ...and I promised him if we got a little girl dog we would call her that to remember him by :D .....

that sounds positive for you Maxine. My 2 are now nearly 9 years old --in June.

My sister always had Cavalier King Charles spaniels--she had 2, who had puppies, then kept one of the puppies. ~They were such lovely dogs. But they all died in time, and she got another one, but was looking for a companion for him, and she had a llhasa Apso and a Shihtzu, who again all died She now has 3 more rescued Shihtzus.

My friends daughter had a Bichon frise called Sophie. She was lovely too,

I love the story of how Pebbles got her name. Hope she continues to be well.

Aww bless your doggies Marian ...such good company aren't they? And your sis is doing great looking after so many ...cavaliers are lovely dogs for sure ...always so happy ...Benji had leukaemia which the vet said was quite rare bless him...rescue dogs are something I'm seriously considering in the future ...in 100 years time coz that's when Pebbles will probably go (you've guessed I'm in denial  ) ...Joan Rivers the comedian said that at her lowest ebb ...her dogs all rescue saved her life ...she almost killed herself but one of her dogs jumped on her lap and she new she had to stay for them ....we are having a girly night in ....all the men out so quality time for us lol ....I asked Pete to make sure his phone on just incase but she fine ...nagged for food all day and mummy gave her extra treats ...but not always i don't want her getting health problems ...xx

It is worth while going to a rescue home specifically for the breed of dog you want. that is what my sister did, after har last dog died, and she was left with one, and because she said she did not mind having 2 dogs, they came very quickly. they had not been ill-treated, which most people think of when they hear rescue dog, but their owner died. Someone had been going in to feed them once a day , but that was it. And not sure how long that was for. there were 3 altogether, and the little female dog went quickly. But Bramble and Marley were so close it would have been really unkind to split them up. We do not think they are from the same litter, but I have never seen 2 dogs so close to each other. they settled in really quicklyand it was clear they had been well trained and cared for, Buyt they had a separation anxiety , but with a lot of patience and hard work, Jill gradually got them used to being on their own--which she had to as she works full time. I will try to find the latest pic of Marley and Bramble--so so cute.
