SAD INCIDENT IN EDINBURGH SCHOOL

Post by karl » Tue Apr 01, 2014 3:09 pm

This news report was already on when I switched on the tv.

It seems an internal wall has collapsed killing a pupil as they were in the changing rooms, from what was said they knew the wall did not seem to be safe - in that case why wasn't that part of the school off limits? They always wait for a tragedy before anything gets done it seems.

The school in question is Liberton High and I am sure that is the school that backs on to the cemetery my family are buried in.

I will tune in to the 6pm news and get the whole story.

Read a piece online a 12 year old girl has been killed - how sad, just a little younger than my youngest great niece.

When they showed the picture of the poor girl she looked so like our Sarah (my great niece) who is also at high school but thankfully not that one, her school is brand new.

A terrible tragedy, and the school apparently knew that the wall was unsafe.

What a sad and dreadful thing to happen to a girl so young, and at school. Parents naturally assume that their children are protected and safe in school.
Our thoughts are with her family.

Not sure if this made the news in your region but the funeral was yesterday and was on the news, a white horse drawn carriage was used.

Makes you wonder how the parents can ever get over such a freak accident.
