Hi Sandra,
Yes, I have seen '12 years a Slave', I thought it was magnificent.
Loved the photography as well as the acting.
To think it was a true story, what a noble man Solomon Northup must of been.

It was a true story Gray, but after the book was written well over 100 years ago, many people in the USA tried to deny the story was "true"............probably ashamed of themselves :!:

I watched two Christopher Reeves films today Mortal Sins where he played a priest and then Deathtrap with Michael Caine & Dyan Cannon - really enjoyed them. Shame Christopher Reeve is no longer with us.

I played a video tape tonight I'd forgotten about it has two shows from the Hollywood Palace from 1969/70.

First show was hsoted by Robert Goulet with guests Dusty Springfield & The MIlls Brothers, I don't remember them but they were excellent. Second show was hostedby Burt Bacharach & Angie Dickinson- I never knew she could sing. Dusty also guested on that show.

I was only thinking of Dyan Cannon today, as she was a big pal of Dean Martin and was with him when he passed away........... :(

Love that film too Karl ...don't make them like Thant any more ...

On Saturday we watched Frozen the disney film with my eldest and his girlfriend ....and now they have been singing the songs all weekend ...and just like me my son keeps laughing at the snowman Olaf....saw it at the cinema with hubby and we loved it ....A last minute decision and it paid off ...what an amazing film .... 8)

Watched a cracking film at the cinema called, 'Calvary'.
It stars Bernard Gleeson and he plays a priest trying to do the right thing in a pretty grim world.
I really can't recommend it enough.

Sounds a good one Gray but you got your Bernards mixed up with your Brendan's!!! You're too young to have such senior moments  !

Thanks for putting me right, Eric ;)

I never fancied The Artist but I bought it a month or two ago in Fopp for £3 just to see what the fuss was about and like Robert I really enjoyed it.

Watched Double Jeopardy last night with Tommy Lee Jones & Ashley Judd hadn't seen it for years ,another dvd I dug out from my collelction!
