I have heard of them Marian. It is only recently I have actually heard of Marion if I was to be honest. A nice singer though. 8)

I am just listening to Michael Crawford at the moment. Singing "Somewhere In Time". I think he is a very good singer, hard to believe he was Frank Spencer in "Some Mother's Do Ave'm".

Wasn't "Eloise" the ONLY hit for Paul and Barry ??

And I have a feeling it was only one of them--probably Paul.

Yes,Barry Ryan got to no.2 in 1968 with Eloise. Then he had 5 more minor top 50 hits.Paul and Barry had 8 'hits'.The highest being at no.13 in 1965 with Don't Bring Me Your Heartaches.
I'm not that clever-this is courtesy of the Guiness Book Of Hit Singles!

Been out to lunch with my Mum and on the car journey we always play her favourite CDs which are of Frank Sinatra.
One of the Sinatra tracks we played today was 'I Get Along Without You Very Well'.
When we came home I had to put the Matt Monro version on to remind me of what a far superior rendition it is.
So Matt 1 and Mr Sinatra 0.

Listening to the very best of Scott Walker and the Walker Brothers tonight, Scott has such a individual, yet great voice :)

"The Lights of Cincinatti" is one of my favourites of the Walker Brothers, Robert. A lovely song. There is another great song, called "The Hills Of Yesterday" on one of his solo albums, from either Scott 3 or Scott 4, I think.

Robert, I told Jeff in the states to try and listen to 'First Love Never Dies' as I absolutely adore that song.
I agreeScott Walker is a very under-estimated singer.

I didn't know you were a fan of the Walker Bros - I am too! :)
