I saw it on the internet and then on C5 news last night, the little boy was only playing on his bike.

Good for the cat but no mention was made of the dog, they can't have it running around attacking people!

Channel five news so the dog had been destroyed ........he could have easily killed that little lad......probably brought up to be vicious and its tragic.....the cat is called Tara and she followed the family home one day and didn't leave  .....bless her ....animals are amazing creatures i adore them .....frightened of vicious ones .......tragic but could have been a terrible scenario had Martha not been hero ...bless her ....

It is sad that the dog had to be destroyed--no mention of it's owner--they should not have let the dog out in the first place.

I would not want to mess with an angry cat !! Brave cat !!

Ah but Marian it would have been sadder still if the little boy had died.

Karl, i am not denying that---it would have been too tragic. But neverthelees, the owner of this dog wandering out on the streets should be made accountable. I have not seen him mentioned anywhere.

I know what you are saying Marian ...from a fellow doggie mad person ....this dog may have been treated very badly too to have been so vicious .....there was no alternative when you see it attack the child ....tragic ...
