Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

Just to say thank you very much, Sandra and John, Marian, John and Karl for all your kind messages, cards, and your lovely e-card Marian. and gifts for my Birthday today.
It was early shopping and lunch out and back home for a quiet day. After all it's Cup Final Day, but family gatherings planned for this coming week, but thank you again, your thoughts are much appreciated.

Yes they have a big celebration in Norway and also the Norwegians in Edinburgh have a celabration at the Norwegian Consulate, mum used to go after my dad passed away. Infact if you're in the city centre on May 17th you usually see some of them on their way home in their National Costume - my sister had one when she was about 12,

Funnily enough, we had sunshine during the morning and it was quite warm, but it disappeared for the rest of the day.
