I'm a big Kevin Spacey fan, I didn't think he would be like that but i've also heard the same about Neil Diamond and that really surprised me as I always thought he was down to earth having taken awhile to make the big time.

Dusty was very nice to her fans and quite shy, she also did a very nice thing for a late friend of mine who came over from Cape Town for my 40th.

Perhaps it all depends on the day they've had as they have off-days too but then it works both ways some fans can be downright rude.

You could be right Karl. The attitude of celebrities may depend on the circumstances of where they are or what they are doing at the time and it may be a time when they were expecting privacy and not for meeting up with fans, who knows. Just a few celebs may get carried away by what or who they are and think they are superior to the rest of us , ( we can let them think that can't we ) :D
Some that we have met have been at concerts or while on holidays, but mainly over the years at charity events and social occasions for the Autistic Society with celebs from the entertainment industry, sports and what have you, we only have nice memories of them all.
Here's another example, we couldn't forget our Matt Monro fan club meet-ups when all the celebs were there in force and they were all friendly and sociable and happily posing for photos etc.
Now Matt himself was the best example of them all, never changed and liked by all.

Yes L&H in a situation like that you would expect them to be sociable.

Yeras ago my sister during a convention told me at the airport a colleague saw Ringo Starr and asked him for an autograph but he refused saying he was on holiday.

I suppose we have to put ourselves in their shoes and see how we would like it.

The price of fame eh?

Peope like Llesley Crowther you'd expect to always be smiling etc; but to refuse a 7 year old child, mind you I heard the same thing about Bruce Forsyth and that was to a child las wellout Bruce Forsyth but that didn't' surprise me.

As for Paul McCartney I always thought he was an arrogant &*%^ anyway.

I also heard from an old friend that Dionne Warwick sailed out the stage door ignoring a queue of fans,

Brenda Lee was very nice and I also had my picture taken with her after her concert.

My friend Madeline Bell after doing two shows back to back met her fans within minutes of coming off-stage, she signed cd's and chatted to everyone and apologised to everyone for keeping them waiting as she chatted to everyone.

Yeah my Mum was very upset that he had said no ... ...lol about Paul MacCartney ..I don't want to ask for autograph just incase he's horrible ..but he is a great performer ...3 hours solid performing all his hits ...loved every minute and would pay again to see him ...Brenda lee sounded lovely then ... :D

People i have heard are a bit sniffy = holly willouby...(various reports ) ...Tulisa ..from xfactor Judge ....Nicole Shrzinger...The tall blonde woman on Strictly Tess daley ( forgot her name ) ..( I've heard Bruce is a bit prickly ). Peter Bowles .. To the manor Borne ...Des occonor ...Paul Daniels .... Max Bygraves ( uncle lee drove a Taxi for him many years ago ..said he was .miserable ). and I've heard he was not a very generous man ...( tips and things ...) ...sorry Karl but I've heard Cilla not very warm person and Janet street porter ....all allegedly I will say ....might have Been caught on a bad day all of them ...but mostly repeat stories from different sources ...even ..and I was very shocked as i like him ... Joe Pasquale but ..I've also heard he a lovley fella when our neighbour layed his Tarmac ... 8) ...anyway ...there are some i have ....I've heard the nicest film star on an airplane ....was Ben Affleck ...( air hostess said on radio a few years ago) ...she had met loads ...

I met Leslie Crowther when he visited our local Gaumont Cinema one afternoon at a bingo session, have his autographed photo. He was pleasant and chatted to everyone. :)

I always get sad when I think about it as he did seem in general a lovley person but my experience as a little girl wasn't a nice one of him :(

Just to mention ....Rodney Bewes ...top man ....( likely lads) ...my son went to see a play about the war a few months ago and my son sat and chatted for ages with him ...I am thrilled because i always love him in likely lads .. 8)

Cameron Mackintosh was Harry's passenger a few weeks ago, and really nice and pleasant. No outstanding tip though. :D
We have an Ovaltiney record with Leslie Crowther talking about when he was a young boy of 14 at drama school and how Clarence Wright chose him and his wife Jean who was also at the drama school to do a comedy programme. :)
