Hi all. We cannot sing happy summery songs at the moment Paul, as summer has deserted us for the time being (especially up north). A song I would listen to at the moment is Supertramps "It's Raining Again"

As I have stated previously I prefer the older musicals pre 1960, so anything from the past 30 - 40 years or so is not my cup of tea (sorry again). Apart from TWO musicals "Chicago" and especially "Phantom of The Opera" which I really like, as I bought the 2 disc DVD.
"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On" :(

Hiu Lena and Harry--I will answer on Pauls behalf--I am also sure it is "On my own"--fabulous song from a fabulous show.

Well, Paul now that both Marian and I agreed on this one, and now assuming that this is correct,.... heres another verse.

I know too well that I'm just wasting precious time.
I'm thinking such a thing could be
That you coud ever care for me.
I'm sure you hate to hear.
That I adore you.
But grant me just the same
I'm not entirely to blame,
For......

Well this one could definitely be for Robert.

The scene from a movie where a couple are walking through the park in the moonlight and this is the song that this famous actor sings to this famous actress.
It is a Cole Porter song.

Hi Lena and Harry, I wouldn't know the song even if it hit me in the face with a wet fish :? :? Just a question, it's not a song from the musical "The Bandwagon" is it ?? where Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse are dancing through the park ?? No, I didn't think so.

The song comes from the 1936 film "Born To Dance" as Lena and Harry say, the film stars Eleanor Powell (haven't mentioned ELLIE for a while have we ?) co starring James Stewart in his first major film role. The film also has another very big favourite actress/singer of mine the ADORABLE Frances Langford, who only passed away in July last year aged 91     She looked so lovely on screen.

There's no mountain top so high that somehow love can't climb
no, no, true love will find a way
There's no river quite so wide that love can't cross in time
Please believe me when I say

Ah Terence this is one of our real favourites and has memories too.
You Are Always In My Heart.
Even though you're Far Away.

Here's another
Can't Run Away From You Dear.
I've Tried So Hard But I Fear.
You'll Always Follow Me Near And Far.
Just When I Think That I'm Set.
Just When I've Learned To Forget.
I Close My Eyes Dear
And There You Are.....

Here's the clue, Easy Peasy. The song is from the Bing Crosby movie. "Blue Skies"
