Marian she was having a laugh, nobody is that stupid to think Margaret Thatcher was royalty even if she did talk posher than theh queen!

One of my " so called brothers" girlfriend did not know that Maggie was leader of the Conservative party so (and she was in her twenties at the time ...people thinking she is royalty would not surprise me at all....not everybody knows things we think they ought to know

I have noticed with some quiz shows that celebrities and even teachers are downright thick a lot of the time, I am sitting there shouting the answers at the telly and they don't know them. Teachers it seems know little of anything other than what they teach. Wouldn't you think they would have a wider interest in things?
I even know some things I am unaware of just by thinking about it or recalling something I read. And for someone who knows nothing about football I am always surprised when I get a football question right, it must just be by listening to the tv or seeing something in a newspaper.
By the way Maxine my neighbour also thought she wasn't jokng about Maggie Thatcher!
