special days in August

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

Taking the easy way out Marian? And here was I thinking you were going to show off your culinary skills!!!! :)

Hey M&S do a huge pasta dish you could pretend you made it. I would love to try it but it's far too much for one, anyway I do my own pasta dishes. Tuna, pasta & sweetcorn being a favourite, you top it with crushed crisps and grated cheese and brown it under the grill for a minute - delicious!

I never said I was going to do anything but easy---your one sounds good--although I am not all that keen on tuna.

Hard to believe it is 7 months ago Maxine-it is amazing where the time goes. I know it will still be hurting, that is natural. !

I often get like that---feeling Ok, but suddenly seeing something or hearing something that brings a memory back can just get to you.

This is strange, last Saturday night, I was ironing and listening to my Ipod, when the song "You raise me up " came on-apart from it being a lovely song, it has memories for me-and at the end I was crying my eyes out. When I recovered, I remember thinking, well at least they will not be playing that in church tomorrow, so I will be Ok. But to my amazement--in his sermon, Bryan mentioned a funeral that week, that had a song played--and you've guessed it---"~You raise me up" then Bryan quoted the whole of the first 2 verses !!!!
I did not actually cry, but I certainly had a few tears in my eye !!!!

I know that feeling, at my dad's funeral they sang Morning Has Broken, shortly after a friend gave me complimentary ltickets to take mum to see Roger Whittaker to cheer her up a bit, what did he sing? I looked at mum and the tears were rolling down her face.
