special days in October

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

Time flies by so quickly. Thinking of my mum today that would have been her 107th Birthday.
Also Five years ago today that singer Al Martino died. :( :(

Thank you Karl, yes there is a lot on Facebook today in Al's memory.
Those Five years ago we had the call at 6.0 clock in the morning from our friends in Pennsylvania who are also fans. Al's wife Judi asked them to call us to tell us rather than us see it on TV. What an exceptional thought on her part, with all the shock that she had with Al's sudden death.

As I am leaving for my hols on Friday my mum's anniversary is on the 30th, it's eight years already and just seems like yesterday.

L&H the day Dusty passed away her secretary Pat called me as she wanted me to know before the press release which I thought was very kind of her, it wasn't until I told a friend in the States that he said "Well that shows what she thought of you to do that".

Thanks all, I am trying to work myself up into actually packing, I love holidays but over the years have taken an aversion to packing - however it has to be done!!!
