I've been listening to a lot of compilation albums recently, with hits from the 60's. But, at the moment, Craig Douglas' Hits album is in the car. In my set list, i sing three of his songs: Pretty Blue Eyes, When My Little Girl is smiling, and Time.

A Dean Martin greatest hits CD.
At this moment 'I'm Sittin' On Top Of The World' is playing.
Love this guys voice and humour he brings to the recordings.
It is hard to listen to him without imagining that big grin and smile on his face! :D

I don't have this cd but my friends in Sth Carolina bought it and we playe dit on the drive to Charleston, the new cd from Aretha Franklin.

She looks amazing on the sleeve and sounds great. I thought her voice sounded sweeter and she is not wailing like she used to do. One of the tracks is Adele's Rolling In The Deep and another isi Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Comapares 2 U which sounds nothing like the original, I didn't like Aretha's version.

Although not a huge fan I have and like her old hits and I also have some Atlantic albums on cd.

The only other thing I did not like about her new album is the heavy drum beat which never changed tempo, after awhile it really irritated me and infact would stop me buying the cd for myself which is a shame as her voice sounds so good.

Bette Midler's - It's The Girls. Wow a great cover album of some girl group/singers. A very fun album and on pink vinyl to boot!!

Annie Lenox - Nostalgia. I love her covers of You Belong To Me, I Can Dream Can't I (though I like Mama Cass and The Carpenters versions the best) and The Nearness Of You (Though Matt's is my all time fave).

Melody Road - Neil Diamond
Complete Atlantic Singles Plus - The Sweet Inspirations

Both bought during my Stateside trip. Neil DIamond's album is excellent.
