Don Black on Radio 2
Re: Don Black on Radio 2
Don never gives Michele a mention on his show, even after all the good thing's she has done over the past few years to bring Matt to the public's attention

Re: Don Black on Radio 2
Don may possibly mentioned Michele on tonight's programme to mark the 30th Anniversary of Matt's death Robert.
Looking forward to this programme.

Re: Don Black on Radio 2
In spite of the good music that Don played tonight, we were slightly disappointed specially as it was due to mark the 30th Anniversary of Matt's death and during the hour we were expecting more than just an opening song and one to finish the programme, after which he mentioned of Matt's untimely death, and of Sinatra's message.... We were consoled that ... "One Morning In May" and "Softly As I Leave You" are Two of our favourite recordings .

Re: Don Black on Radio 2
He won't ever mention Michele for reasons I won't go into!
Re: Don Black on Radio 2
I know Michele had a bone to pick with Don (as mentioned in the Singer's Singer) as he alway's seemed to mention about Matt's drinking (on radio and in his book Wrestling with Elephants) including wrongly that Matt had a bottle under his bed while waiting his liver transplant, even though Matt had been tee total for a few years !Rmoore wrote:He won't ever mention Michele for reasons I won't go into!

Re: Don Black on Radio 2
Yes L&H, slightly disappointed Don only played two tracks of Matt's tonight ............even though they were great tracks
..............Don also repeated himself for the upteenth time regarding the telegram from Frank Sinatra and of visiting Matt in hospital, then hearing Softly As I Leave You in the bar across the road afterwards
