ROD MCKUEN R.I.P.

Post by karl » Fri Jan 30, 2015 11:04 am

I Just read Rod McKuen passed away yesterday at the age of 81.

Just a few days ago I heard Frak Sinatra onthe radio singing Love's Been Good To Me and although I have the record but had not heard iti for awhile it's a beautiful song.

I have a video of Rod's Christmas In New England with Dusty as his guest and it's a nice show.

Rest in peace Rod and thank you for the music.

I heard this sad news this morning too. My favourite song of his is "If You Go Away," of course sung by JJ. He is always emotional singing this song because he associates it with the loss of his father.

RIP Rod McKuen. I first heard of him through a Bobby Sherman song called "Love's Been Good To Me". Then on the songs "If You Go Away" and "The World I Use To Know" . A wonderful talent.

Very sad news, a really wonderful songwriter. He of course wrote "Jean" as well, recorded by many including Matt and Al Martino.

You're probably thinking of Rod Taylor who also died earlier this month.
