Re: Joe Longthorne
Perhaps he was there buying and preparing for a garden barbeque for his Birthday next Tuesday Robert.

Re: Joe Longthorne
Maybe so L&H, but with the weather we are having up here it may be an inside Barby
...................Joe did stand out last week, he had a black leather jacket on, but also wore blue leather shoes.......which you don't see every day

Poor Joe, but so pleased they are all okay.
Re: Joe Longthorne
My goodness--sounds like they were very lucky to come out with no serious injury.

Re: Joe Longthorne
We are so sorry to hear this news of Joe Longthorne. After all he has been through over the years, and now something else to face and battle with, yet never ever feeling sorry for himself.
Not only is he one of the bravest persons in this business, but one of the best singers this country has ever produced.
Good luck to Joe in his fight.

I can only echo what L&H said, best of luck Joe.
I saw him at the Kings's theatre here years ago.

Re: Joe Longthorne
Happy 60th Birthday to the wonderful Joe Longthorne today. We saw Joe in Blackpool too John. Fantastic singer and entertainer.
Sadly Joe has been unwell again recently and now waiting for confirmation of more tests that are not sounding so good.
He is performing in a show and celebration at the London Palladium tonight accompanied by a 26 piece orchestra.
Unfortunately we are unable to make it. Hope it will be a great evening for this brave and courageous man.
He is quite unbelievable !!

Re: Joe Longthorne
Maxine, It appears to have been a fabulous night at the Palladium, standing ovations for Joe who sang all the favourites. Ricky Tomlinson was compere, with Jimmy Tarbuck , and other comedians were there. Don Black and his family were in the audience and Joe sang the song that Don wrote..."If I Never Sing Another Song" so hope all will be well for you to see Joe in September.
