Gordon MaCrae did eventually get clean from his serious drinking habits :) he spent a lot of his remaining time helping others who had the same drinking problems he once had :) good on him :) :)

Hi Robert,

Can I ask please where you read this info on Mr McRae?
Also, good weekend for Hull City!

Ah, yes, John, I remember the original - well, I can remember blood pouring down a staircase and a scene with a priest and some bees...?
It must be 25 years since I watched it.

Yes Gray, the point at Bolton took us out of the bottom three :) ......................but we will probably need something from Sundays game against Man Utd to stay up  ..............I'm glad Man Utd won the title last week, as they should now put the reserve team out with next Wednesday in mind.............but with the likes of Rapheal, Macheda etc......................please say yours prayers for us...................please, please...................pretty please...............we will need all the help we can get on Sunday.

Watched the compilation DVD That's Entertainment today :)

Watched the Frank Sinatra DVD tonight A Man and His Music +Ella +Jobim :) I must say when Frank put's his mind to it he can really belt out a tune. On the DVD he sings Old Man River from Showboat, and I can honestly say, no one can touch him in that mood, just one word covers the song............................sensational :) :)

Hi Robert

Thanks for the link, it's a great site imdb, isn't it?

Re Hull, at least your fate is in your hands, now, though it will be tough!
Good luck.

Yes, good luck from me, too, Robert.
I think Hull City will leave the stage
on a high (like our Matt used to) by beating
the top performers in the world.

Well, we made it............but only just :D :D what a stressful day Sunday was for the followers on the four teams involved in the relegation battle. Middlesborough went down Harry, but I guess they were the favourites for the drop.

Watched "Watch It Sailor" last night, a type of follow up to "Sailor Beware" but instead of the wonderful Peggy Mount in the role of Ma Hornett it was Marjorie Rhodes. I do like Marjorie Rhodes, but I think Peggy Mount is a hard act to follow. :)

Peggy Mount played the role of a Battle axe in the series "The Larkins,"
with Davd Kossoff, but was totally the opposite in real life apparently, and was said to be one of the sweetest ladies in the business. :)

Watched an old black and white episode of On the Buses on ITV 3 last night :) but the mother was played by Cicely Courtneige, a famous actress in her own right, but can anyone tell us why she was replaced in the series soon afterwards............did she pass away ?? (I'm going to check IMdB right now)

Cicely played mum in seven episodes in 1969, then replaced by Doris Hare............Cicely passed away in 1980 :( but I wonder why she was replaced by Doris in the series :)

I do not recall Cicely Coutneidge being in "On the Buses"--the actress that I remember was called Doris Hare, I believe. I soppose I could have missed the first few episodes.

Funnily enough there has been quite a lot of disussion on Teletext about rerunning this series, and one person actually said that it should not be shown, as it would "warp young peoples minds" !!!!!!

Heaven knows what planet he was on, and what he thinks of some of the stuifff on Tv these days !!!
