September News

At last some good news from Michele, very pleased to hear her house is as she wants it now. It's taken a long time! :D
Matt jnr's tour just round the corner, but I was surprised to see his name was not mentioned in the latest advertisements for the tour in the newspapers last Sunday.

Which song will be voted the best Bond song ? ..........I love FRWL but my guess would be a song that will surely stand head and shoulders above the rest...............Goldfinger

Personally I'm not too keen on most of the Bond songs, some are good and some are dire especially the later songs. From Russia With Love, You Only Live Twice & Nobody Does It Better are the best . Much as I like Tina Turner I thought Goldeneye was dreadful.

Yes it will. Matt JNR will be performing and a narrator will be telling Matt Snr's story along with audio and video clips, home movies and photographs - including some rarities not seen in public very often (Matt's home movie footage from Eurovision has never been seen before for instance, it's not of Matt himself, just filmed by him but as the 1964 contest visuals are lost it's better than nothng at all and accompanies the original soundtrack Matt singing in the contest) - Some thing may be more familiar to the big fans though, but we have to appeal to a general audience. We've had to rely on footage from the estate and Odeon Entertainment for most of it due to ridiculous licencing costs but did strike a deal with the BBC for some interview footage.

Michele has written the script and i've put the clips together.

Hope you enjoy it.

The new Matt Monro Jnr show sounds very interesting. It's too bad we didn't do another Fans Reunited at the Beck. But everyone is so busy and Michele and Richard have many projects.

Now this will be a shock to you... my favourite Bond theme is...

From Russia with Love.

Nothing else comes close; but I like Goldfinger, Diamonds are Forever, live and Let Die, and Nobody Does it Better. I adored Sam Smith singing on Disclosure's song Latch, but I haven't heard his Bond theme yet.

The Matt show sounds interesting indeed.
I loved the James Bond themes. A View To A Kill (Duran Duran), Live and Let Die (McCartney and Wings), All Time High (Rita Coolidge). The only ones I didn't like were Nobody Does It Better, The Living Daylights and some others.
