ADELE AT THE BBC

Post by karl » Sat Nov 21, 2015 6:54 pm

Did anyone watch this last night ?
Until now I never really took much notice of Adele but I decided to watch this and boy can she sing! She is very much a Londoner and at times I could not understand her but she came over as a very down to earth woman with a real cackle of a laugh. I was very impressed.

No, I didn't see it Karl, but I saw it advertised and it looked quite good. I am not over familiar with her songs, but from what I have heard she sounds a good singer.

I watched Adele and surprised myself at watching the entire programme. She is a good singer and totally down to earth.
Having said that, I'm never sure with the songs that are written today, how anyone can familiarise and follow some of the lyrics and non melodious tunes.
It must be my age. :D

From the moment I heard her first song Chasing Pavements ..I was bought lol.....and I adore her version of Bob Dylan's ?..Make You Feel My Love ....she is an extraordinary talent IMHO....I remember seeing her on Richard And Judy show a few years ago and she said she would rather work behind the scenes but thank goodness she changed her mind ....25 years old ...she said that if Amy Winehouse had not had her career, she probably wouldn't be where she is now ...very humble ....thank you for starting the thread Karl 8) ....her accent I can understand .. being a Kentish lass lol
Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go.....

I head Chasing Pavements many times, liked It but never knew who the singer was when I found out it was Adele I Was amazed.
I agree her songs are all slow, would like to hear her sing something bright and cheerful for a change but at least she doesn't nip your head like Whitney , Mariah & Celine!!!
