Just a few comments:

Robert -- I didn't know Lobo recorded Yellow River. I'll have to check it out as I still listen to the Christie hit. Have you listened to The English Congregation's Softly Whispering I Love You lately? I always pull it out in the summer and blast it from my car stereo speakers with all the windows down.

Karl -- I've Gotta Be Me is Sammy Davis Jr's best. I love it and also blast it from my speakers and sing along.

John -- thanks for telling us about Gogi Grant. I hadn't heard that. Does your Lulu compilation include If I Were You and Oh Me Oh My? I've looked all over the UK for a compilation with those songs. I'm a bit concerned you're not listening to the Carpenters anymore. ‎

Paul you will find Lulu's song Oh Me Oh My on her 2 cd set The Atco Sessions. As for Sammy Davis I have all his albums on cd but my favourite will always be The Shelter Of Your Arms, fantastic song and orchestration, it was recorded years later by Neil Diamond.

Hi, Paul, nice to see on here again. No, those two songs you mentioned are not on the cd's, they are both a home made compilation. As for The Carpenters, I haven't listened to them for ages. I listen to a lot of different singers now, although I do go back to the old favourites as well. :)

That was Adam West Karl.
Adam Wade is quite a nice singer, rather similar to Danny Williams in some songs.

Detour - Cyndi Lauper - and what a detour it is for her. A good album all round, if you're use to poppy/new wave Cyndi, this one will shock you in a good way.
