Jack and Judy?

Post by Baz » Mon Jun 08, 2009 6:34 pm

Am I reading this correctly that Judy Garland worked with Jack Jones?
Baz.
I am a fan of "real music".
Music performed by Matt Monro, Frank Sinatra and their piers. I once made an album with Humphrey Lyttelton. I play harmonica. The latest CD " Baz with the Jazz legends" is selling well. ( I sell it via my website)

Jack was a guest artist on some of Judy's shows Baz.
I haven't reached Jack's spot yet Terence, but I know I will enjoy his performance. :D :D

Judy Garland had many guests on her shows---one of my favourites is Mel Torme duetting on "The Trolley Song", plus a duet with Bobby Darin and Judy.

Barney Kessel

Post by Baz » Mon Jun 08, 2009 9:45 pm

Thanks for the info' Marian and Mariana
I became friendly with an American Jazz guitar legend , Barney Kessel years ago. He worked with Judy ( Not sure about Jack?) I do know that he looked up to her greatly. He was also very impressed with "Lady Day"...
Billy Holiday. A troubled Lady but a great talent. It's the end of a wonderful era of fantastic music. Let's hope it comes back again.

Yes, this is the same album that was also released under the title "I've Been Here All The Time". Jack shares a couple of tracks with Maureen McGovern. :D :D
