Sandra I knew they were not best friends but it's Petula's loss as Jackie was a very warm and kind person with a good heart. I haven't told this to many people but when my mum was ill in hospital Jackie called and offered to pay for any specialist treatment that could help but nothing could be done. You don't forget kindness like that.
If Jackie had written so many hit songs for me I'd be eternally grateful, seems like sour grapes with Ms Clark !

Never been too sure of Petula and trying to relaunch her career here lately ,does anyone know how that went ?

I am not sure how it went but she did a tour last year over here Sandra to promote her latest album "From Now On" Can't say I was over keen on the album, although she did a version of "Fever" a song that I can't stand, and it was quite good. There were another couple of good songs on it, but not as good as her previous album. I have to say though I like the Petula of the 50's and 60's, there were a lot of songs she recorded in the 70's I just did not like.

I have always liked Jackie Trent and in particular "When the Summertime is Over". It brings back a lot of memories.
