We agree Marian, Kiri Te Kanawa has a lovely voice from operas such as Puccini's

She also sings standards beautifully--as on "Blue Skies" and "The Gershwin album".

We agree Marian, Kirin Te Kanawa isn't discussed very much on the forum or elsewhere these days,
She has a lovely voice from operatic songs like Puccini's Gianni Schicchi "Oh My Beloved Father" to popular numbers like "" "True Love". :)

Sandra, one of our favourite Glenn Miller albums is "For The First Time" on the RCA label..with Three LPs that then contained 50 never before released performances.
Each song and singer is introduced by Glenn Miller. Just fantastic. :)

RONNIE HILTON.....IF I SHOULD FALL IN LOVE AGAIN. :)

The song I mentioned by Helen Reddy was by Burt Bacharach, and came from the musical he wrote called "Promises, Promises"--not often recorded although I have Karen Carpenter singing it on DVd, but I think it is one of his best songs.

Great choice john, as that is my favourite AW song...........so beautiful :)

Glen Campbell Witcheta Lineman...........another beautiful song :)

Kenny Rogers Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town ................these three songs come from the late 60's, a great period in pop music history, in my opinion :) :)
"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On" :(

Les Brown and His Orcheatra - I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm

(I've read that this record from 1948 was the last big instrumental of the Big Band Era. A great swinging number!)
