PRAYERS NEEDED

Post by karl » Wed Dec 06, 2017 9:49 am

Please pray for my cousin Les in Ohio who is seriously ill with pneumonia.
Les is a very special person, he has down's but he's been an inspiration to us all - he turned 57 just a month ago. I last saw Les last year when I visited Ohio - wish I could remember what he said to me but he made me laugh.

Doesn't look like it and I've since had the worst news about my neighbour, all I've heard this week is bad news.

Yes, Christmas time doesn't stop illnesses. We've also had nothing but bad news Karl. Two deaths in a week of lovely friends, but hope both Les and your neighbour get better very soon.

My neighbour has had two courses of chemo with little to no side effects, the bad news is it hasn't worked and his consultant has advised against a third and new treatment as it can be very aggressive and there are no guarantees. I went downstairs to talk with them today and they were in tears telling me about it, the doctors don't even seem to know how long he has. I know how hard it is for them but all this news has knocked me sideways. If you pray please remember my cousin Les and neighbour Jimmy.

My cousin Leslie (in Ohio) passed away this morning .
His family posted a beautiful story that their father (a lay preacher) told years ago and it brought tears to my eyes.
So proud to have known Les.

Condolences to you Karl and your cousin Leslie's family.
Cancer is no fun. I have been fighting it since August but luckily they caught it early enough. I had surgery to have my prostate removed this past Tuesday and am at home for about a month to recuperate and then under Doctor's care for the next 7 months or longer.

So sorry to hear your sad news Karl. To lose someone is bad enough at any time of year but it always seems worse at Christmas time.
