SNOW

Post by Sandra » Thu Mar 01, 2018 9:36 am

Hope that everyone is keeping safe and warm in the snowy weather.
It is pretty dire here in Lincoln. We couldn't get out yesterday and in the rural county of Lincolnshire it is much much worse.

Sandra today is worse than yesterday, the rush hour never happened today and there are no buses - the snow is much thicker and hard to tell where the road ends and the pavement begins - also no gritters so cars are skidding all over the place. Most drivers are sensible and driving slow but you get the odd idiot going faster, God help them if they skidded at that speed.
I stocked up on essentials yesterday so staying indoors and keeping warm, however despite the fact this weather was expected no lessons have been learned since the bad Winter of 2010, shame on the UK they n
never learn - they should observe how things are done in Norway,America & Canada and also Russia/Siberia where this weather came from.

We had some snow the other night, but nothing compared to many other areas. But it has been bitterly cold, raw, in fact, I can't remember it being so cold for a long long time. And the wind makes it even worse. What a long, cold miserable winter this has been, there seems no end to it.

Yes, I know only too well what you mean Robert, we have more than our fair share of strong winds here in Blackpool...all year around.

Snow has not been too bad where I live, but the winds are very-very-drastic.
I am just staying in and keeping warm.

Keep warm & well everyone,

Good news Karl. We managed to get out today to Asda and it was like Christmas! My Mum's 4 carers a day have been brilliant as we couldn't get to her to help out.Apparently the County Council have had volunteers picking the carers up in 4 x 4 's to take them to outlying districts.!!

I haven't been out for a few days but I cleared the front path and pavement today then went food shopping, it feels much warmer so let's hope the snow melts quickly.
