Tonight Don played "matchless Matt" singing the song Wednesday's Child from the film The Quiller Memorandum :)

Robert we have an old Apple iPad and a more up to date Tablet so depending on which one we use means that on Apple it's the see through ones and on the Tablet it's the yellow ones.
This posting is being sent from Samsung and when we post again it will be from the Apple one. Watch this space! :D
Did anyone see Don on Pointless earlier who got to the final with Richard Stilgoe. We're looking forward to Don's radio show later.

Matt recorded numerous titles in his career so why doesn't Don choose something different?

Just listened to Don's show and enjoyed it as usual. Nice comments from Gordon Macrae and Bobby Darin about Matt during his time in America.

Don's show tonight was a tribute to the lyrics of Johnny Burke and featured Matt singing the opening song...…...it was one of Matts rarer old "live" songs Pennies From Heaven with a bit of hiss on the live recording for good measure  :)

I wonder if Don will play the Joe Longthorne version of If I Never Sing Another Song in future weeks. No one will EVER sing it like Matt but it is a pretty powerful version.

Listened to Don last night and enjoyed the show. We agree Sandra, "Pennies from Heaven" is a lovely song from Matt's early years that we listen to on the Matt CD Born Free Disc 2 with Johnnie Spence ☺

On another very varied show Don played "matchless Matt" singing a song from the Hoagy Carmichael album he often returns to...…...tonight he played his favourite song from the album The Nearness of You ........ :) ………….Don also mentioned a fact I didn't know, that both his parents were from Russia ……….maybe Don should have wrote From Russia With Love for Matt instead of Lionel Bart/John Barry  :) ……………..if you read this post Eman please let us know you are ok as you haven't posted for a couple of months :)
